Went out the other day with a nice bunch of geezers from Essex My old stomping ground Well they came down to Devon for a ride out and big Jim And Roger were taking them out and I invited myself along. I was told one of them were in a Quad as he had a disability, thought it would be good to meet them. Now I was not e...
Was given a 2000 TTR250 from a buddy for free; a little rough but just needs some TLC. Has 352 miles on the clock, but don't know how accurate that is as you can turn back the odometer by hand (although my friend has no reason to lie). It's been in storage for 5 years so I have some work ahead of me; worst part b...
Hello everyone! I recently acquired a 2000 Yamaha ttr250 with around 5k miles on the clock. The bike has been made street legal and is really fun to go riding on the road with! I ended up replacing the sprag with a new one because it was locked up and couldn't get the bike to turn over using the starter....

Hi guys, I am not very happy because I hardly can find anything on the internet for my 1995 Open Enduro. I hope I won't regret buying this old bike. There are parts for later models (1999 upwards) but nothing for old TTRs. My question is are the fork gaiters the same on '99-08 models as on my 1995's? Could I...

Every ad I see for a TTR oil pump includes a little semicircular tin guard. Every engine I have opened up has had no such guard fitted Is someone taking them off before I get in there or were they not always fitted? This is my experience on both pre and post Y2K engines. Not sure of the purpose exactly - can an...
Hello everyone! I have had my TTR for a couple of months now, but haven't really got to ride her much. I seized the opportunity last weekend however to get a decent ride in for the first time. Despite enjoying the bike, it became clear that it is not carburating too brilliantly. It's ok to ride, don't get m...

I have had a few TTR's over the years but one I bought recently I noticed that its got a grease nipple on the rear shock linkage. My old man had a box of motul 7100 10w40 leak through his truck today and the company told him to throw it out but he decided to pass it on to me (thank's mate). There are 16 litres of this stuff and I was curious if it was fine to use in the ttr? It's coming into summer here in Australia and it can average around 3...
Hi, I have the open enduro 250 model (purple n white with metal tank). I have found 2 decal kits I like but they are for the later model.
