If an Acerbis tank for an XR will fit a TTR, will a standard XR tank fit too? I want a black tank for my project bike. A decent OE one is prooving tricky to find but if I can find a black plastic one, that might do the trick. Are they the same shape throughout the range (250, 400, 650...)? Ride safe, Simon.
Just going through and refurbishing some front calipers and came across this one. I am trying to fathom out why the fingers were ground back coz it is now just scrap

Can anyone please confirm whether there are any issues ie clearance with the fork boots with the above tyre size (it is a Dunlop Geomax AT81). Apparently the 80/100-21 is not overly common and there is some doubt that it is actually narrower when mounted.

Selling the old girl as I have just bought an XR400 today...... its done 29k genuine miles, unlike some I have seen forsale that have 5k and look more like 50k. Hey lads, As the title suggests my bike wont hold a charge for the life of it. It'll charge a tiny bit after a long ride and maybe charge it enough to start it once but that's it. goes dead flat. I've taken it to the mechanic and they say there's nothing wrong with the stator and what not and the volt meter is re...
When I drowned my bike a while back I wondered how larger (not that large) bits of organic matter got in the motor as they wouldn't have fitted through the air filter and the filter was almost 100% clean on the inside despite having a layer of mud about 10mm thick on the outside. The exhaust didn't go under...
Hello everyone, in the very valuable topic originally started by TT-R250M, Rebuilding a TTR250 Teikei Y30P Carburettor , many pictures are not loading or details are hard to see on them. Should it be possible to edit that with newer, clearer and more detailed pictures ? Would be easier if user...
