Folks I'm selling my CCM 644 Dual Sport, ebay item number 252515590809 if you hear of anyone who wants something longer, taller and heavier than a TTR! Frame-up rebuild, good condition and a great ride, but it just doesn't float my boat. I'm sticking with my 325. £1995 or near offer. Simon.
The TTR has to be the hardest bike I have owned to clean there seems to be to meany places for dirt/mud to get traped even hard work with a water blaster.... took about a hour to clean the CRF.... like 3 to clean the TTR.... ..

Hi guys, anyone here ran an enduro on a TTR-250 Open Enduro? If not, any hare and hounds riders? -- Edited by fourelms on Tuesday 27th of September 2016 03:07:12 PM
I remember someone on here put two relays in to the headlight loom to make it brighter, but i cant find the post, i need to do the same, my headlight is dim on the 55w bulb so guessing its not getting the power it needs. anyone know what relays were used?
It may have a slight sign of blue smoke on start up after sitting for a few days , otherwise going strong, hasnt lost any power. Mostly road riding at 90 kph and below. Most oil changes been done at 2000km, with the few beach and bush rides done at 1000 km. No shim/ valve check as yet but will look into that s...
My little bike now starting to look a bit tired... still brilliant tho. Will tart it back up over Christmas. Having to much fun on it to bother at moment. Even better. Look at how neat the hedges are now they are trimmed back. Felt like I was being publicly flogged with a cat o nine tails last time I rode it a c...

Hello all, I've been bringing an 06 back to life that I got from my dad, using this site as a resource for about a month now. Figured instead of just lurking I'd join up and get a little more involved with it!

Owned this one for a few years, bought as a project to replace my stolen xr 250. Due to a change in circumstances, i have even less time to spend on finishing it and it deserves better than to be languishing in my shed. It has a brand new genuine Yam sprag supplied by totally ttrs, zero miles put on it. Las...

Hi all, I have the white tank TTR250 Open Enduro, I believe 1994ish. Since I've bought it, it has an annoyingly fast idle speed with the choke on. I have the manual but I cannot see a section which describes how to adjust it. Any help would be appreciated! For reference: I tried turning it in, but it doesn'...
Hello, People. Just bought my first bike (2011, never taken off-road) a few days ago, and as a 5'7 borderline midget, am struggling a little with the seat height. I would love to take the original seat off and store it, as it's in excellent condition and I don't want to cut the foam or have to reuphol...
Hi all, I'm J, been riding road bikes for 30 years and only rarely ventured off road. Now I'm living in Devon I plan to change that and have bought a lovely TTR, which was featured in a renovation build on here by Brian. Looking forward to getting out on the Devon lanes with the local TRF group and adding ne...
I was more like "trapped" than lost , at the QLD Motopark. Did the hardest and longest "red" trail and half way through ive had enough so headed back on the emergency /rescue trail. Well thats when i got lost and was using the sun to head north towards a highway. Seen a road from the top of a mountain and head...
I have been reading a lot of threads on the internet about TTR owners who removed the snorkel from the air box and installed twin air filters. I also read in new models such as my 2011 model you dont need to rejet carbs with exhaust upgrade. So, question is, will the bike run with more power if i remove the sn...
I just picked-up a 1999 TTR-250, put a new rear tire on the back and when I was tightening my rear axle, the snail-shaped chain adjuster on the castle nut side starts to slip when I get close to the torque spec. I'm thinking either the notches are worn down too much on the adjuster or there the washer that g...
Right. It's exhaust time. But I'm poor/tight and am looking at options for increased flow at minimum outlay. Question for the brains trust - will the shorty header deliver benefits with the standard muffler? Or is it better to do a muffler first? I hate the look of the standard muffler, want better per...
