Timing Chain & Tensioner
(Preview)
Hi all, I have done most of the maintenance tasks on my 2003 model TTR since I bought it last autumn. One thing I have not looked at yet is the cam-chain and tensioner and I was wondering if these tend to give trouble. Has anyone any advice before I go at this task? Thanks! APW

Easy to up shift, hard to downshift while engine is running

Hello guys. Lately it has been very difficult to downshift on my Raid. Upshifting is easy and smooth. However when i try to down shift, the lever just sticks there, and i have to step very hard on it to change the gear. This only happens when the engine is running. At 1st gear, even when I pull the clutch all...

However, the odometer refuses to turn on, and the left/right signals do not work. N indicator still work, as well as the head light. When I signal left/right, the...

The notorious stock Allen head bolts are known to be a PITA and strip easily. An excellent and easy replacement is the bolts that connect the fuel tank main bracket to the fuel tank (blue/plastic). What more should I change if I replace the Valve Stem Oil Seals?
(Preview)
A simple question. If I open the engine, what more pieces should I change? Including all the gaskets. If somebody can make me a list and where I can find them, it would be good. I have forgotten for many time this problem in my TTR and probably I should not forget it forever.
