I have posted before about my ttr not working after about half throttle as it ran pretty good once I got it and cleaned it up and went through the carb it would go all the way now just recently will not. I thought it was running to lean so I had a custom sigma 6 jet kit built for the make model year and elevation I adjusted needle I put a new spark plug in and I got a dominator round exhaust and it can perform better up to about between 1/2-3/4 throttle after that it cuts out and seems like it can't ignite that much fuel. I notice with higher octane fuel it helps it but it still doesn't make it go all the way. I'm thinking I need a new ignition cause once the ignition gets warm it can't ignite the amount of fuel it needs to go all out that's what I am guessing and what I've been told by my dad and a family member who races. I want to know what you guys think it is if that or something else and what I would need to correct this. Thanks in advance. Any help is appreciate.
Going back to basics, is your petrol cap breather clear and working? If blocked or partially blocked it won't let enough fuel through for the TTR to run properly, especially at higher revs.
A random possibility - could the valve timing be out? I have had a situation where a TTR started and ran OK but wouldn't pull higher revs. The timing chain was one tooth out on the camshaft sprockets.
