Battery wiring
(Preview)
Hi all just a quick question I've noticed on my oe that someone has run a cable from the battery negative to an watching point on the frame. I' fairly sure that isn't standard and just wondering if anyone on here knows what effect it may have on the battery if any. Cheers in advance. Jordan

Brake light switch
(Preview)
Hi everyone I am in the process of making my ttr fully legal and still need a brake light. I found several switches from parted ttrs but have no idea how to hook them up. How the hell do you top up the rear brake reservoir please? Not obvious other than removing a few bits and pieces out of the way. Need to bleed/replenish the fluid after replacing the rear piston and am mystified !

Is riding in cold weather bad for your bike.
(Preview)
Hi everyone, I have another question for you guys. Is cold starting and or riding bad for the bike or engine in cold weather(40-50) Fahrenheit. I am not worried as much about the bike as I am the engine. Is it bad to start the engine when it is colder out? I'm worried that the oil flow isn't great and it will c...

Carburettor drips
(Preview)
hi everyone. I noticed that the very bottom of the carburettor always has a bit of gas hanging from it. And it looks like the engine case directly below it is wet. I felt the engine case and it feels dry so the carburettor must not drip often. Does anyone have this problem and what would fix it? Thanks.

batteries

Hi, a question on batteries. How long do batteries last on the ttr? I put a new battery in my 2005 ttr a little over a year ago and when it is not in use it is on a battery tender. When i went to start it today it was as dead as a dead thing, nothing on it. Surely a battery should last longer than that length of time T...

Leaking Clutch Gasket
(Preview)
A few weeks back I noticed there must be an oil leak on the RHS as my wrapped exhaust was smoking a fair bit just forward of the join to the rear section. I'd not noticed it before as the bike has mainly been out in the wet and the exhaust wrap gives off a fair bit of steam then anyway. Upon investigation there w...
