TTR250 Engines

I was just wondering having read lots of posts on here to increase my learning curve, If these engines are well maintained what would be the highest mileage I could expect to achieve. ????

I have read that people put baggage on them and travel vast distances so they must be very reliable, I am asking as this is the first time after many years motorcycling i have had an OE and love it, don't really want to get it dirty.

Thanks Malcolm Woods.

If the motors had regular oil changes its not unusual to read about people getting over 40k on the topend/piston and rings. some get up to 60k and I've read of one that made it to 80k. I think its common to get around 80k out of the bottom end.
