Hi All, Does anyone know what size crow foot spanner Brian used to hold the flywheel whilst undoing the flywheel retaining bolt. I can't read it on the photographs and need to remove the flywheel. If you're out there Brian can you remember the size?? Gruf.
Hi all, I've just joined so hello. Great forum. I gave up biking 20 odd years ago and have just returned and I'm well impressed with the quality of info in this forum. When I was biking the internet had not quite grown - so no real forums. But I've been using car forums and the info here is really a different c...

Hi All, I have a 1999 TTR250 with 15000 km on the clock. After realising a few drops of oil each time I parked, I decided to replace the sprocket seal. When I noticed that the problem was still thee, I went for the talcum powder and noticed it was coming from the rubber grommet that holds the wires into the a...
I am new to the TTR as I just bought a 99 TTR-250 a couple months ago. I know there are many topics about this but I just can't seem to find a straight answer. My plastics are in bad shape, especially the fenders. I have found some front fenders that will work with a little drilling but can anybody tell me if th...
Hi, Soon I shall be stripping down my TTR and removing the Kouba lowering link, would anyone care to swap an original one for this part please? Less than 1000 miles gentle green laning done (Bike only covered 2200)
My ongoing garage clear out continues and I have got to the headlight box! I have some Acerbis headlight units for sale on eBay. Although not specifically made for the TTR, they were taken off TTR250s that I broke for spares and put the headlights back "just in case". If you are taking your TTR offroad fo...

I have picked up a rolling chassis as a possible next project. I want to check if a TTR engine will shoehorn into the frame and, if not, whether the wheels and front forks can be used Brian
Just when you thought it was safe, I have started another refurb As usual, ICS at Cullompton did a great job on the powder coating and I have so far loose-fitted the wiring loom plus rec/reg, coil and solenoid. I am trying to recall the best order in which to fit the parts and think it's linkage and swing a...
Hey guys, I've got a 98 1.8T. I've had a k04 and chip for a while and wanted to get more performance. I was recommended to port and polish the intake and exhaust. We found out they used abrasive material to do it like gritty sand. So I got with my friend that tunes Hondas and we decided to try it ourselves. We...
The faq said yz plastics fit but i dont see any year that will fit my 04. Are there any side plate options that will fit the side size properly with light modification to the mounts Perhaps?
Hi guys. Anyone thought about fitting a WR motor into a ttr frame? Besides he engine mountings and radiator position, it might just work? The thought crossed my mind as I saw a wrecked WR 250 with low km on it. You thoughts???
For owners of blue TTRs, a simple upgrade is to fit footpegs from the older white model. The blue pegs are 30mm wide and the white ones are 37/38mm wide. The wider ones fit straight in Hope that helps someone. I have not been able to source a sensibly priced set of after-market wide pegs Brian
Hi every one, I just bought my first 2011 TTR250 with 520km on the clock! I know good find right! Don't worry it cost me a pretty penny to have it shipped interstate. I just took off all the blinkers and number plate holder as it will be used for dirt at this stage. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone can tel...

Due to a lack of funds it looks like the TTR will be getting just a tart up this year. Once the engine is out I can then start prepping the frame. Started today just got the engine bolts to come out then lift the engine out for the strip down. The bottom mount looks a bit of a pain to remove. Heres a couple of pic...
Hi I'm after a Right (as you are sat on the bike, offside) plastic panel. Does anyone have one spare please? I will take a complete set if its easier Regards Rod
Thought I would give the TTR a bit of TLC today Threw a pair of new D606's on, I was going to fit them onto the WRR but ordered a set of MT21's for the WRR. The D606 have been to the Flinders twice plus local rides so happy. I've washed the bike 3 times since the Flinders trip & it was still dirty, degreased i...
