Has anyone done a conversion to fit a WR dash to a TTR? I purchased a dash last year & mounted it, but haven’t gotten around to figuring out how to get it working any ideas? Does the WR run a pickup via a disk mountEd magnet or run a digital pickup in a housing similar to the analog cable one? see below...

Spring rate calculator

Any ideas on Spring rate calculations? I’m prob just under 75kg with full gear, I’m running a 20L tank, & max 20kg luggage with tools / spares. I’m going to work on 100kg - 105kg rider weigh, what rates for the springs you think are the ideal rate? cheers

Replacing standard headlight pilot bulb with an LED
(Preview)
My brother-in-law's pilot bulb blew so he decided to replace it with an LED bulb. Looking on eBay, there was a good deal for two so we are both now using the LEDs A straight replacement - same fitting. The lights are now a clear bright white (much brighter than the photo shows!) rather than a half-hearte...

Cartridge emulators for TTR forks - questions
(Preview)
I have just fitted a set of drop-in cartridge emulators, springs and a new rear shock from Cogent Dynamics in the US to an XT250 Serow (sorry to get your hopes up with that first sentence!) The front end was dramatically improved (ride quality and dirt road cornering feel) so I have been trying to find in...

Rear shock preload adjusters
(Preview)
Anyone know what size the rear shock preload thread is? I'm considering an XTrig preload adjuster and I don't think they list one for the TTR but if I can find another bike with the same thread I can start the hunt on ebay! (This is just because I'm too idle to strip things down to measure my shock...) https...

Anyone got a picture of an OE or Raid with a white frame?

My mission for this year is to sort the crusty frame on my OE, I'm going to powder coat but I'm slightly unusual in actually liking the purple rims/bars. I don't think black will work with purple & white so was thinking of going for white. I've seen the great photos of other projects like the red/whit...

I would need a fork length measurement
(Preview)
Hello Board Members, our 1999 TT-R250 has a WR250f fork mounted. This conversion seems to work great, but the bike is to be lowered and therefore I would like to know how high it is in the front at the top of the steering head and in the middle of the handlebars with an original fork. That would help me to k...

Best way to make forks stiffer???
(Preview)
I am very pleased with my 02 street legal TTR250.....with one exception. The forks are way too soft. The front end dives when you touch the front brake. I was told to run 4psi and that is what I am running. Can I buy spacers to make the springs stiffer, or buy stiffer springs? Thanks!

Higher seat forthe TTR250
(Preview)
I've always wanted a higher seat on the TTR. Although the original seat is lower and easier to put a foot down in technical situations, I feel a bit cramped and then tend to cramp in the legs during and after long rides on the TTR250. This doesn't happen on modern bikes I also ride. Anyway new seat is on a...

GYTR tailpipe to header pipe clamp ?

Got a used GYTR tailpipe. Are some tailpipes just a slip on with no clamp needed ? Looks as though there never as been any clamp. TTR250 aftermarket exhaust review, Pro Circuit T4.

I really like my 2005 TTR250, it was the one bike I have always regretted not buying new when I had the chance. I bought this one 3 years ago having run a TT600RE for quite a few years, I ran them both for while whilst deciding which one to keep. For me, the 250 was the clear winner, lighter, 6 gears, better on t...

Hello everyone. Finally I found a bike I wanted. It's arriving in few days. Things I will need to sort first is mirrors - the bike don't have any. Modifying clutch to hydraulic

Talking to a friend of mine the other day we discussed why the majority of bikes have cable operated clutches. He rides trials and his Montesa (Honda engine) has an hydraulic clutch and it is much lighter than a cable one even when we'll lubricated. Anyone any thoughts please?
