We had a customer who asked if I had any ideas of what can be causing pulsing at the brake lever on braking. He had tried a couple of used discs thinking one might be warped and also changed pads but the symptoms remained. I had come across this once before and, after a lot of head scratching, managed to...

I have a 96 ttr and it blows alot of white smoke. Im pretty sure it needs new piston rings but i would like to make sure first. Also I think there is a problem with my clutch because when I go into third gear or above while wrapping on the throttle the engine starts reving but I dont build up any speed till it st...

Any ideas how to get the chain puller off? It's the only good part left on this axle and for some reason costs twice as much as the nearly identical puller on the other side (WTF?!). A previous knucklehead ruined the threads then ground off the end of the axle to get the nut back on (but still cross-threade...

We have had quite a few new owners joining us recently and it may be worth pointing out that there should be a spare 15 amp fuse in the RH side of the battery box as shown in the photo below. It is the only fuse on the TTR and the one in use sits in a holder that clips into the top of the battery box as can be seen in...

I bought this filter/basket combo some time back so I could swap out in a few minutes and clean my OE filter at a later date and have as a back-up. Hey guys. I just picked up an '05 TTR 250 this past Wednesday (so I haven't had a chance to get a manual yet) and have a few questions. I was hoping to ride it tomorrow, but ran across a couple of issues when I started servicing it last night. When I started to clean the air filter, I noticed a couple of hoses a...

Anyone had this? When a mate's TTR gets hot (about 15 miles into a ride) a very loud screech starts in the clutch/gearbox area. The pitch changes as the gears are changed and it happens with the clutch fully engaged. I haven't heard it myself and was unable to replicate the noise when I took the TTR for a ru...

Hi everyone So I recently bought a ttr and the previous owner had the suspension to a very soft setting. I recently installed some of the venhill long throttle cables, and my throttle now sticks and won't snap back.
