As the subject suggests, I replaced the chain & sprockets, nice gold DID 520 chain with 13T & 44T sprockets, am I the only one that loves the feel of new chain & sprockets ? 16500 kms on the OEM units, not bad for a dirt bike & I could have reused the rear sprocket. Spending more time on the W...
Hi Guys and gals. Just bought a 2003 Blue plastic tank model off Gumtree. Never owned one before but I've been a biker since before I had a licence and I've owned a multitude of Yamaha's since I was sixteen (Fizzie, Tenere, YDS5, FJR600, several TDM's - 900's and 850's - and currently own a '97 TDM 850 whic...
Po 25 latach przerwy wczoraj wziąłem ttr 250 2006r. Mam 69 lat ale stara miłość aktualna. Jeździłem na cross, potem trenowałem młodych, potem komuna padła i klub też padł. A teraz ostrożnie sobie przypominam miłe czasy chociaż kości mocno sztywna. Pozdrawiam kolegów

With a forecast high of 38c today I went out early, not too early as the risk of hitting a Skippy are much greater. Rode out to the Barossa on gravel roads, very dry & slippery with a fair few front end slides but back home after 140kms, stopped at a vineyard to take a few photos along the way. Back home be...
Hi Everyone I've been reading the TTR Forum for a few years now and feel that it is about time I put finger (or sometimes fingers) to the keyboard. I bought my TTR250 about 4 years ago off a highly respected Technician at Yamaha New Zealand. One of my lifelong mates was the National Parts Manager at YNZ for...
A little fun with my youngest this weekend. Because of fires we had to drive 90 minutes each way for a 4 hour ride (to Mowich). He buried it on a steep switchback, good workout getting out of that (at 5000 ft). This is my 2002, back to stock jets (50/137) with the T4 slip on and open-top airbox, it runs grea...
I visited the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum yesterday in the company of TTR Steve and other similar but greyer old reprobates I have had discussions in the past about how thin you can go on cylinder sleeves before they would go "wavy" or otherwise distort in use. There were quite a few sectioned aero e...

Ok, so it is one of my fave youtube overland channels, and is more 4wd than bike based, but there is a ttr 250 on the holland track, this is part one, well worth a look, awesome production values showing one of Australia's roughest tracks. 'Overlanding in the outback, it's everyone's four wheel drive d...

Having loved and cherished my old Raid, I needed to go some further distances and it wasn’t pactical any more. I got a Bandit 650 then after my circumstances changed I ended up having to sell that to make ends meet. Happily for me, I have finally pulled things round and now am in a position to buy a bike. Als...

My Christmas present from the wife arrived the other day. It was supposed to go under the tree but didn't quite make it. B&B bashplate looks good and seems well made. Also a couple of pics of a recent ride in Bunyip state forest in Victoria. There had been a bit (alot) of rain the previous week. -- E...
See http://www.ttr250.com/ I haven't made any changes for a few months and a lot can happen in the TTR250 world in that time! Any suggestions for additions or corrections please? Brian -- Edited by TTRfan on Friday 8th of December 2017 02:46:51 PM
Rob and Dafne have just opened their new Travel Centre in Gelderland, the Netherlands: Looks really good - nice to see they are looking after their TTR See here for their web site and tours on offer. Brian
Joined a while ago, thought I would finally say hi! I've got an old '94 raid. She has been through the mill. I am the 4th owner. She's been rear ended, dropped, drowned in rivers, stuck in rivers and thrashed on the mx course. The raid is a bit tired. At 50,000 km she is just begging for some attenti...

Out on Sunday with a few big bikes on Salisbury Plain for my first ride on the TTR. I was on TEC duties so had my first attempt at recording and publishing video, a harder task at my age than riding the bike all day I can tell you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3asWZj2fsfU https://www.youtube.co...
