Is it the new sprocket ? the original one, Yamaha had rubber moulded into the sprocket and was much quieter I think I think I rea...
Anyone tried getting decals for the Raid off Yamaha? Think I'm going to replace the ones missing off my latest Raid if I can. Seriously 90's cheese but what the hell. My other Raid can do without although I did get some copies from Sri Lanka so it may have to be cheesed up as well.

Hi all, I've just stripped my bike down to totally refurbish it, ie getting the frame blasted and powder coated, wheels re-spoked ect, what I would like to know is, are there any uk sites that sell carburetor seal kits, or is there another type of bike that uses the same ttr parts..I have the 1996 OE vers...

My niece Eliza (aged 6 years) drew this picture from a model TTR and has made it look quite funky She and her family stayed a few days with us and by the time she left she and her brother knew most of the parts names and where they are on the bike - can't leave everything to non-petrolhead parents Brian PS Th...
Well after reading the many restoration story’s on this awesome forum I decided to share my own.My ttr was my first bike and as funds were tight and I needed a relaxing hobby. I decided to buy a cheap bike and try and fix it myself. I spent ages searching various sites and managed to find a 2000 TTR250 in d...
While out riding with Rattlyolddt the other day...he mentioned that my Raid looked lower at the back end than his OE model.....i thought the side panels may give the impression of it being lower (as they're bigger) but got me thinking...how will i know if my bike has a lowering link fitted?
The bike was pre-registered in 04 by a Kent main dealer and stored. I bought it in June 07 with zero miles and have only used it on sunny days around the local lanes. It has a lowering link fitted, original available. New battery last year. Its been garaged and is in showroom condition with exception of...
I've got myself a tank .... and now just need the matching Raid seat! Condition not critical, as long as the base and foam are intact and unmolested! I have a standard OE seat (and tank) that I will be happy to trade, which can be seen on the bike in the first post on this thread:- http://ttr250.activeboar...

Went & picked up an '04 TTR last week that I had found on Cragslist here in Vermont. The sale was being handled by the owners in-laws as the bike had to be left behind due to space limitation when the owner moved south. Buying it was a bit of a protracted process as the bike had been stored for about 2 year...
Am thinking about making some side racks to bolt onto my existing top rack. Anyone got any photos to post that will give me some ideas? Noticed there are some photos in the 'Soft Panniers' thread, but if anyone has any other mods I could look at, I would be grateful. I was thinking of forming/shaping t...
G'Day all at TTR250, This is my first ever post on any such forum, so I guess I am a newbie. Forgive me if I make mistakes. I have owned a few TTR's in my time, amongst the other bikes I have had, they are; TTR600 '98 did 5000km on it and then it was stolen from me. TTR250 '99 did 115000km on this one (60000km of tr...
Trish and I are taking a short holiday break from Friday 1st June to Sunday 3rd June inclusive. It is unlikely that we will be able to respond to any Totally TTRs emails or deal with any orders over these 3 days. Normal service will be resumed at TTR Towers on Monday 4th June Sorry for the short notice! Bri...
Hi everyone I just took the time to transfer over from the old system (or what every it was called) having been on since 2006. I have had my 4GY1 model since 2006, but not used it seriously for 2 years. My son has now graduated from off road track riding to a road bike, so I thought I would put the TTR back on t...
Didn't want to post until the bike was actually in the garage, but just arrived home & wheeled it in. Brought home an '04 TTR, a bit worn but not abused & suffering from long-term storage (gooped up carb). Looking forward to getting it sorted & hopefully plated. Found lots of great info her...
Hello ridden quite a bit when i was a littler tike - starting on a peewee 50 at ~age 4 then into something like an RM85 (always prefered the blue hue though ). tapered off around 12-13 and that was almost exclusively paddock riding. The love however never died, and after campaigning for the last while i c...
Gday Folks . Soaked & cleaned out the carby recently. All good but now when i ride up & over a certain incline (about 30 degrees) the bike starts "choking". Any suggestions really appreciated (even fat jokes accepted ha ha)
Hi everyone...new to TTR forum, go easy on me! :) Riding the TTR250 the other day I was going full throttle then it died and sputtered to a stop. I noticed right away the battery was smoking and was EXTREMELY hot to the touch. I got away from it to give it time to cool down...acid explosions are not fun. 2...
