Too rich mixture but will stall otherwise
(Preview)
Hello guys, My bike is a 1996 Raid. A few days ago I had a fuel flow problem so today I cleaned the fuel tank and the carburetor. I found a huge amount of gunk clogging the fuel pipe and the needle valve seat, so I cleaned them out. But once I reassembled the bike, there was no way to get it start and run unless I o...

Am I running lean?
(Preview)
As far as I am aware, my TTR pulls like a train right through the rev range. Well, a small train. But there is a slight bog between 1/4 and 1/2 throttle, but only if held there for a sustained period, i.e. cruising down a long straight 30MPH road, then when you go to take off when the speed limit increases, a...

Aftermarket fuel screw to fit these odd TTR carbs?
(Preview)
I'm wondering if there's such a thing as an aftermarket fuel metering screw with a long shank on it to fit a TTR250. I can easily purchase one for my WR250f as it has a name brand carb. But what about the ttr? If so, do any of u guys know of a part number for one? Thanx.

A bit of good carb info unless it's been posted before.
(Preview)
My TTR runs sweet but i'm unsure if it should run a bit more crisp at lower revs, it could be normal for all i know and i'm happy with the way it runs. Saying this i think i'll give the carb another clean and check within the next few weeks. While searching for carb info i found this, i had to use google transla...

Idle speed screw.
(Preview)
I could increase the idle speed easy enough. But slowing the idle was abit harder. Found that the spring was catching on the carby body. Took screw out then filed the top of the spring so it Had a slopping edge. Added a tiny bit of grease. Now its easily idled up or down. Use to have idle down with a pair...

Throttle jammed when riding in rain
(Preview)
My OE runs fine in good weather condition but when riding in rain my throttle feels very sticky and when I let off the throttle grip, it jammed at about 1/4 carburetor opening thus I had to force it shut to an idle opening. However when I turned off the engine and twist the throttle open and close, it feels n...

Bike stalling ?
(Preview)
I've looked through all the posts but can't find an answer. Sometimes the bike ran well then it just cuts out. Tbh it is a lot worse since the new pipe went on, as I'm not sure about carbs I don't know where to start. It also sounds like it's blowing back through the carb at times if that makes sense. Any help w...

Hi Everyone I’ve ordered myself a GYTR Slip on muffler for my 2013 TTR250. I was told by the guys in at Yamaha to just drop the height of the circlip down “one” in the carburettor. Float pin direction

hi all, sorry if I'm missing something but the ttr250 manual says to push float pin out in direction of arrow. Other advice on here seems to indicate that the arrow shows the direction the pin was installed in and that you push it out in opposite direction to arrow. Which is it please? Mine looks like so...

Accelerator pump o-rings
(Preview)
I need to replace the two leaking o-rings, part number appears to be 5Y1-14397-00 but judging by the price of the genuine Yamaha part they must be made of gold. Hence does anyone know their size so that I can pick up some replacements from the local suppliers?

Who's using what pilots?
(Preview)
Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering what size pilot jets you guys are using in your ttr250's. I know that the 52 and 52.5 pilot jets seem to work good for a lot of people. Anyone using anything bigger? How about smaller? At what elevations? Any mods to justify?
