Cripes - what a job that turned out to be Both bulbs on the number plate unit had blown. If one was still working I wouldn't have bothered doing the job. As is common on older TTRs that have been subject to mud etc, both nuts were fully seized on and weren't going to budge without special treatment I skim...

Not sure what they are called, the rubber bushes that you clip the plastic side panels into are falling to bits on my OE, had a look on Brian's site but didn't see them. One of the panels is moving about quite a bit so have used some tape as a bodge, don't want the clip to break off. Any help would be appreciate...

My TTR got delivered this morning and i'm quite pleased with it considering i didn't view it (ebay sale & came from Aberdeenshire). Does my bike's ride height look normal? Could do with it being a bit higher but wondered what my starting point looked like to others before I wound the spring up a bit please. Thanks, Mark

Could anyone provide the correct size for the banjo bolt on the oil feed pipe the one closest to the oil filter housing on clutch cover length pitch etc many thanks.

Due to my standard exhaust deciding to fall to bits I have bought a CRD from Riverside. Will I need to do anything to the carbs, total novice with these tbh. At present the bike bogs down at low revs but is fine at higher rpm. Cheers from John

I recently hit a large rock with my bike and it went into my stator cover. There was a hole and it was broke bad. The only thing that saved me from this being a huge expense was the steel engine guard on it from the factory. That guard too a HUGE hit and crushed into the case. It took ALOT of energy and did a grea...

So many of the bolts I pull out of the engine have this odd chaulky white powder on them. Is this anti-seize from the factory? or oxidation? Should i use thread lock these or anti seize on these internal engine bolts like the bolts that hold the stator to the cover and the cable holds??

Pendo · Pendo

Hi All Feel like I'm hogging the new threads but have decided to replace the sprag clutch. Pulled off the 'Yamaha Cover' and noticed some small cracks around the base - see very average, out of focus photo. Should I replace the cover?

Mine has about 2mm of play in it. Gives a slight clunk when on the bike stand and I lift the swing arm. Can't see it move. I can feel it if I put my fingers around it. Should it have zero play up and down? Cheers Leigh.

Ok, so vice grips, torch, and every other technique did not work. Here is a pic of the aftermath, now the bottom stud hole broke on the bottom side is there any way to have this welded, drilled and tapped?
