Do you guys check it when the engine is dead cold (been sitting overnight) or do you warm the engine up for a minute or so then let it sit for 5-10 then check it? I swear I read somewhere you check the TTR cold but everyone I know with a more modern bike checks it with the other method

Hey guys, I've never changed this stuff and it's long overdue. What size is the nut that holds the front sprocket on? I need to buy a socket that'll fit should i use loctite on the nut or just the screws holding the back sprocket on? Any info would be much appreciated
