1: Mitas 644 Army Special 130/80x18. (Also designated 4.50x18) Actually 11.5cm at it's widest. Fits fine but was a pig to mount and impossible to balance. Good in mud but I had a nightmare on it on loose wet shale. Won't be fitting another (but the front is great - go figure!)
2: Maxxis Maxxi Cross IT 120/100x18. Nearly 13cm wide, and it's diameter is huge - only just fits (but it does fit) They do a 110/90 or something like, which I will try next time if it wears reasonably.
3:Heidenau k60 130/80x18. 12.2cm wide. Looks nice and fat but isn't too tall thanks to the 80% aspect ratio. Love this tyre - great all rounder only failing in deeper mud where it doesn't paddle well. Good wear characteristics, good on road and on gravel or rock.
Note these are on a '93 OE rather than a Bluey - don't know what the chain guard is like on the Y2K+ models.
Thanks for your replies.
These are encouraging.
110/100-18 was fitted to it when I bought it in Feb '16.
I have a 4•60-18 on now, but I need to replace it.
I was trying to keep track of the distance each tyre lasted.
But I can only guess now.
Thanks again.
THE BRIDGESTONE M404 IS ABSOLUTLEY A GREAT TIRE WITH A WIDE WIDTH BUT NOT STREET LEGAL THE KENDA TRAKMASTER WITH ITS PADDLES IS ABSOLUTELEY INSANE GRIP IN WET AND DRY ENVIROMENTS BUT ITS A INCH THINNER THAN THE M404 THE KENDA IS STREET LEGAL AND SOFT SO IT ONLY GETS LIKE 2000 MILES TILL ITS CHICKEN IN THE MIDDLE AND THE BRIDGESTONE ISNT BUT IDK THE NEXT TIRE I GET WILL EITHER BE A PHERELLI OR SHINKO OFFROAD AND STREET OR THE MAXXICROSS 50+
U CAN GET MORE LIFE OUT OF THEM USING A RE TREADER ON YOUTUBE ORA HOT RAZOR WORKS WATCH THE INSIDE THO YOU BACICLY GIVE IT A FEW MORE MMS OF WEAR TO USE AND IT GETS THE MOST LIFE OUT OF THEM MY FAVORITE THING TO DO IS SCALE THE OUTSIDE FOR NO MUSHROOMING AND MAKE THE CENTER BLOCKS A 90 DEGREE INSTEAD OF IT BEING ROUNDED A LITTLE AND YOU WILL GET MORE GRIP AND LONGJEVITY
OH SORRY MAN WELL ONCE YOU DO IT THEY DONT HAVE TO KNOW AND IT DOESNT
