Almost all after-market exhausts will meet your loudness requirements James no

But loud doesn't always mean sounds nice - the Yoshi was the nicest sounding I have used but are as rare as hen's teeth.

I think you would like either a FMF Powercore or CRD

Tried a few on mine. FMF was way to loud and the sound wasn't nice. Then modded the standard can and was quite happy as it gave a nice deep note but not loud.
Then i spotted a White Brothers E series for sale and thought i'd give it a go. It's the best of both worlds, nice sound, not loud and it's light. ttr250.activeboard.com/t60286245/exhaust-againwhite-brothers-e-series/

Has anyone ever come across a real world comparison test of exhausts? I would love to know what dB a standard exhaust puts out, and run comparisons with FMF, White Bros, DG, etc using the same equipment in the same place. The Polish Dominator exhausts on ebay uk look ok, light, and claimed 96dB, but what does 96 ACTUALLY sound like?? For me, quiet and lightweight are more important than large power gains, although all three in one slip-on would be the holy grail! "Not loud" is not specific enough for me
Simon.

Clever compilation of vids there Pete - nice job wink

The Yoshimura was the best sounding of all the "open" pipes I tried but it still gave me a headache no

Yeah thought it would be interesting for people wondering.

In my mind the only ones that sound really different are the FMF cos of how deep sounding it is and some of the real straight through race type ones cos of how loud they are, otherwise most the aftermarket cans sound quite similar.

Good work Pete. 79dB standard is remarkably low. Still wonder whether that's measured to the same standards as the aftermarket ones - 96dB is a massive step up. The only answer is for me to travel the country with a meter and visit ttr owners with all the different slip-ons!
Ride safe,
Simon.
