I have seen some old threads about TUbliss inner tubes on here, but nothing recent, I was wondering if anybody is now using them and how they are getting on, also there was some mention of their being illegal in the UK, and I was wondering why that was, My thoughts were that it was just like having a tubless tyre really with the insert clamping the tyre to the rim????

Quite a few of our local Devon TRF guys use Tubliss but it seems that, like mousses, they aren't legal. Tubliss haven't got DVLA approval apparently.

Lots of info here if you can access it.

But the Tubliss system looks quite good, my mate makes frequent trips to the states and I was thinking of asking him to pick me up a set.....

It does look a good idea yeah, I suppose if the tyre sealant does not work you could always plug the hole too. Only thing would be if the puncture went through the side i suppose, you would still have to carry a tube....

If you are serious about going Tubliss it's worth joining the forum to see the thread. We have quite a few no-Devon TRF members on there. Also, we have a guy that imports them from the States in bulk and sells them at a good price wink

Here is his post. Is £85 a good price?

Brian

Gen2 Tubliss

I have recently sold a consignment of Tubliss on the forum and still have another couple of guys interested in buying.

To help me decide whether it is worthwhile importing another batch, is anyone else interested?

The Tubliss would be available mid-June and priced at £85 including delivery. Any takers?

Cheers

Colin B

Yep - £85 each no

Cheaper and easier to use than mousses though!

Cheapest pair I can find here from the States....
