Fitting an after-market tail light to a tail tidy
Permalink

I have just about finished another refurbishment and am fitting one of our after-market tail lights and thought I would document it just in case it might be useful for someone else.

The first job is to mark, centre punch and then drill two 5mm holes 44mm apart in line with the centre of the existing middle hole. I will have these holes pre-drilled when I get the next batch of tail tidies manufactured.

There is a raised section at the back of the tail light into which the soft rubber bulb holder fits. This is a tad too big for the pre-cut central hole.

So my solution was to cut it off with the Dremel.

Push the bulb holder through from the rear of the tail tidy.

The tail light cover just pops on over the light fitting and can be bolted up.
