A pumper carb gives a small squirt of fuel down the intake track when you open the throttle..

so the motor responds quicker...

It also solves the lean problem that other carb's without an AP suffer when cracking the throttle open fast.

To answer your first question- yes, the TTR250 has a Accelerator pump.

Great, thanks for the feedback, nice to know and another plus for the TTR 250! I need to give this bike a real test. I will be comparing to my 1994 DR 350. I loved that bike, ( got destroyed in an accident ) but I'm interested on how this bike will tackle things. I know power won't be the same but from what little I have ridden it the flickability and weight savings seem much better, hopefully a higher fun factor!

Thanks!
