GYTR tailpipe to header pipe clamp ?

Got a used GYTR tailpipe. Are some tailpipes just a slip on with no clamp needed ? Looks as though there never as been any clamp.  Its a nice snug fit with extra thick pipe on the tailpipe where it joins the header pipe. All mounts line up good. 

Is it as the word goes.  ( A slip on ).
