Pete, are you changing out your oil more often, I found it goes black quicker from increased clutch use. (4 yrs in my WRF )
Also with engine braking,I found with the softer springs and the clutch engagement at lower revs, the engine braking wasn't that much different to normal, only when you slowed right down to engagement speed. So on steep declines you still have engine braking down to the engagement speed just above idle, then have to learn to blip the throttle to regain engine braking back, I ran the stiffer springs first it was horrible, probably would be good for MX.
I think it has actually increased my downhill riding speeds. BTW I have been rekluseless for a year or so and I now use the clutch manually way better then before i had a rekluse. Because the rekluse is so good it taught how much more you can do, so I figure if a couple of springs can do that then so can I.
I also have the LHRB, the Rekluse model, and it is awesome, can highly recommend this hand brake. Helps when you stop on a steep hill. No running backwards. Then use the LHRB lever like a clutch to slowly take off with gentle throttle. Or brake sliding around trees on tight tracks, brake sliding to the right you can put your foot out, etc etc,
Its all a bit like cheating so my old Rekluse and LHRB out of my 07 WR is going into my 15 WR250F after Xmas. ;)
Gotta love Yamaha for carrying over so many parts.
I figured out which Rekluse clutch to order but their technical support can't tell me which LHRB to order since they don't make one specific for the TTR. Anyone know if a WR250 has the same size banjo as the TTR?
