Webshots Is Closing: Save Your Photos by December 1st!

Got a reminder email this morning:

"In case you hadnt received notification yet, Webshots is closing on December 1.

The site became too expensive to maintain and was scheduled to be shut down. Under new ownership, we are introducing a new service called Smile by Webshots.

Please note that all photos and videos will be removed from Webshots as we prepare to launch the new service. If you do not want to transfer your photos to Smile, we encourage you to download and save your photos before December 1, when they will be deleted."

Some of my old posts are going to lose all their pics where I have linked them to my Webshots account unless I get moving!

I am just going through my "Modernising" thread here as virtually all the pics are linked to Webshots. I am now hosting them on Photobucket instead. Over 200 pics to update cry

Anyone else used Webshots for their forum pics?

Brian

That must be why most of your photo's lately haven't been downloading properly, I only seem to be getting less than half of each image

I use photobucket as well, the interface is resonably easy to handle once you get used to it

Sorry about that Steve. I have now been through all the step-by-step "how to" guides of mine and updated any Webshots pics so they should be ready for 1st December switch off - I hope hmm

However, you shouldn't be having a problem right now. Have you tried looking at my pics on a different machine?

Anyone else having the same problem please?
