Front brake light switch

My front light brake light switch has go all Italian on me it's always been abit dodgy but worked all times and recently just not worked at the rear brake switch is fine so not bulb or rear light itself, the main fuse other day did blow and since then hasn't worked.

headlight cowl

is there an issue with these? I notcied on the fowlersparts site its a total different shape. Even when you use your chasis number. I beleive that the WR400 headlight surround is the same as the TTR 250. Fowlers have told me its the right one. Its clearly not as the headlight hole is to big for a start.......

Import or not an import that is the question

Easy one as I think I already know the answer but how do you know if a bikes an import. also grey or parallel.....are they even different, a quick google didn't help me work it out either! Mines a K Reg open enduring but first registration is 2000 any help will be great as about to reinsure the bike online...
