my son runs a ktm with extra thick innertubes bit of a pain getting tube air valve in to inside rim has any one tried these tyre air valve pullers on ebay £6.99
John says he was asking about what to carry on the bike - lots of info here John - http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t47275424/basic-tool-kit-spares-what-to-carry-on-a-ride/
bought 2 off ebay as dan lee uses but they dont fit through the hoke in the rim to couple up the inner tube to guide it through the hole in the wheel has anyone else had this problem i wonder if they have been machined wrong
That sucks! I have a cheapy from Torpedo7 - just tried to find it on their site as they definitely fit TTR Rims but they don't list them any more. Typical.
Mine is like this

The brass bit that goes through the hole in the rim looks much smaller with this type than the type you bought Johnnyboy. With the type in my link above you remove the valve core first and it does up in that thread. They type you bought (in DLE22s link) looks like it does up on the thread that the cap uses which would make the valve too wide. With my type (and the type Brian listed) the tool is no wider than a standard valve. Make sense?

You have to weigh up whether it's worth it IMHO. How much are you out of pocket? You can raise a case with eBay if you want to but if the ad didn't say the device definitely fits the ttr you're up the creek. You could drill out the valve hole larger but then it would fill with crap. As it's a cheap item I'd just cut my losses and buy one of the other type.
If the dude has been rude and pissed you off, raise the case. Otherwise take it as a learning experience and move on.
