PO55 in pieces again - I do not love this bike - and just to make my life more interesting, one of the exhaust manifold nuts sheared off when I was removing the exhaust pipe. Any advice as to how to remove the stud - I have tried loads of WD40 and heating with the blow torch, but it still wont budge.
Heat shock normally works, it's just getting a grip is the hard part. I have an old electric drill chuck which tightens down onto the stud and normally grips tightly enough.
Sounds like a good idea with the drill chuck! I will give that a go. I am trying to find out why this bike always sounds like a 'bag of spanners' - always has, never been able to find the cause.

also, the case saver around the front sprocket can just rub the chain sounds terrible it's just a case of grinding a little off the trailing edge, mine sounded like a terminal engine noise turned out to be the rear engine mount needed tightening. also, if you have a bash plate fitted it reflects the sound back up putting rubber along the frame rails then remounting the bash plate helps a bit, otherwise it's an air-cooled engine and are rattly the only way I have quietened that is ride through water deep enough to cover the engine there really quiet while their under .
