Ive been putting it off for ages but repacked the steering head bearings today . 40 deg in the shed so a bit of a chore lol but it good to have  it done

One of those jobs that is worse to think about than to actually do I think, but at 40 degrees? At least the grease will have been easy to squeeze!

Spot on its not a bad job once you start . Doing it occasionally has meant the original bearings are still ok . Same with the rear suspension I haven't replaced bearings since I have kept the grease upto them .

Yes the heat sucks but it was an overcast day so took advantage of the cooler day its normaly a lot hotter in the shed making it realy hard to do anything

Yep, I had a few cold beers afterwards biggrin, it feels good riding it since, it's always good to do maintenance and notice the improvement
