My new Ttr 250
Permalink

Hi all, just sold my WR450 and bought a Ttr250.What an amazing little bike.Feels so light and nimble.Had a Wr250r many years ago, and this Ttr feels a lot more grunty and faster than that, but maybe my memory is wrong.I have the standard 14/44 gearing, and think I might put 13 sprocket to see if that helps with the hill climbs.I tarted her up by painting engine, wheels, calipers and a lot of components.Put new decal kit (from Australia)on it, and I think she come up a treat. So if you ride around Gympie, Queensland Australia, and you see a blue flash go past you, that would be me overtaking you (😂😂😂😂😂, only joking). Reality is,is you see a 59 year old crying and stuck halfway up a hill, that will be me.That,s all for now anyway, thanx Mark.

Just sold Ktm 1290 and Yamaha Wr450f.I just bought new Ktm 390,and restored a 2000 ZZr600,as well as this TTr250.I,ve had over 40 bikes in my time(love em all).I buy and sell bikes all the time.Once bikes are in your blood, you can't change. No women can change my mind.I also suffer from selective hearing problems.

I have the same problems as you. I own 6 bikes currently, I have 2 TTR's, 13 front sprocket is much better, especially for hills and taking of on hills

13 and 50 on one of mine and the other 13 and 44 original rear sprocket.
13 and 50 is the best for hilly, single track for my riding

Thanx.I believe you are Brian?Did you put the 350 kit in it?Worth it?I currently get around 200kms from one tank(standard bike),I,m assumming you wouldn't get that range from 350cc?What is the current range from a tank of gas?

Hi Mark

I pretty much documented the whole of my 350 journey on here. Sorry but, if I didn't cover your points, it was a long time ago and my memories have faded no

There are plenty of other 350 owners on here that might be able to answer any questions you might have but, as to the question of was it worth it? Hell, yes!!!!

Brian

I think I might leave it stock. The whole reason I sold my WR450F was to slow down, and try to remember I'm no longer 18 years old. It's agreat little bike, and I think it,s better than the WR250R I had years ago.Do you know if any videos exist that show how to check valves and adjust them??,as I,m totally new to this, but can use a spanner and am a hands on man.
