Charging light mod

Ok, bit of a back story but I bought my bike from a friend who drove to Devon to buy it from a guy who used this site alot.

Sadly I believe the guy was very poorly ( in fact I don't want to use the word but I believe he had terminal cancer.)

So my mate had a great day with him pootling down some green lanes and brought the bike back to Shropshire.

So one of the mods he had done was an led light to indicate when the battery is being charged....

Now I remember reading about it on this forum many years ago but I can't find it.

I've got an aftermarket toggle switch which is broken and trying to work out what / how he did it?

So if any of you have been on here a while and can Member and article......

Dave

Ok some digging and ive found a 5amp fuse connected to the battery that's if I pull out I seem to lose the front lights?
I think i memory serves the lights on the console died also.
The 'charging' led lights up red when idling but goes green when the battery is being charged...

The 15A fuse is the main fuse for the bike - if you pull it I think you may lose more than just the lights!

Regarding the charging light, you could fit a combined USB port/volt meter which will do 2 jobs in one?

I remember the thread about the red and green lights, but I can't find it either!

Well done Brian!
Guess the key words in the search engine were too vague.

I can change the heading to make it more easily searchable!

What do you reckon?
