Checked the bike before a Friday ride tomorrow.  And had a flat back  tire . I can now say don't buy cheap tubes they perish .

Bugger, heavy duty are good. Tubeless are great too, lasted 7 years in the rear of the Husqvarna and 3000 hard trail riding/ single trail k's

You should get out riding more often Les - then you'd wear out the tyre before the tube had time to perish!

I am very happy with my Tubliss system, but I accept that the extra faff of maintaining the high pressure inner is not ideal. I lose about 8psi/month so it's not that bad.

Moss, needs pumping up before every ride. Just the way it is. A mate kept going on and on about tubliss for years. I bit the bullet, it made me a better/more competent rider. Hill climbs, slush got quite a bit easier. losing air between rides a small price to pay.

Yeah I normally replace tubes every few tires .just made the mistake of trying a cheap one last time

Got an old Michelin hd one back in for now

Put 300k on it today went well

When I first started dirt biking (enduros and then trail riding), the advice from the old timers was to use HD inner tubes BUT after years of wrestling with them I changed to using much cheaper standard inner tubes and never regretted the decision.

It made it possible to change an inner tube on an event or a trail ride in even the muddiest of conditions leaving knuckles and temper intact!

Using Pirelli MT43 thick walled crossply tyres, I was able to run really low pressures without suffering snakebites and such.

I am sure that I had no more punctures than I did with the HD tubes and it saved money as well as patience.

These are the sort of tubes I used - see here.
