Adjusting Clutch actuator arm

I am going to replace the clutches on the bike next weekend. I understand how to do that but I cannot figure out how you adjust that arm while the motor is still in the bike. I cannot see the mark the arm is suppose to line up with. Has anyone done this on the bike without removing the motor? Is there anything I can remove to get a better view? I appreciate all of the help guys

 

But on other news after a deep carb cleaning, and rejecting, long long fuel tank cleaning, new spark plug and a few other odd and in things the TTR is alive after sitting for 2 years. Sounds good, got it idling good now I just gotta get the clutches and arm adjusted and maybe I'll get to ride it some next weekend.  Once again thank you all for all of the help guys!

easy but a bit fiddly

Yea i read that thread but i was looking for if someone has insight on adjusting and being able to see the casing mark while the engine is still on the bike. Is there anything in particular you can remove and get a decent view of it. Cause all I can see is the straight line not where it angles off that you are suppose to actually align if with.

There is no magic solution and it is a right PITA - but it is doable so persevere!

Maybe a mirror on a telescopic arm (such as here) would help or can you get a photo on your phone?

Persistence will pay off!

Alright thank you for the ideas. I was hoping maybe removing something would give better access for the visual part. As always thank you guys for all of the info and ideas. This is an awesome group, and I truly do appreciate it!

I’m glad you asked this as I thought I was missing something obvious when I was adjusting the arm a while back with the engine in the bike as it’s so awkward doing it!
