Fuel petc0ck filter size
Permalink

I need to replace the filters on the ends of the petc0ck, on the brass lines that are inside the fuel tank.  Does anyone happen to know what the size is of those brass lines, or has an OEM petc0ck kicking around and can measure them - replacement filters seem to come in a few size variants?  I will have to take the valve out to replace them and so I could measure them at that point, but I'd like to order them ahead of time so that I can remove and replace in one sitting.

Many thanks

Hello Simon!

I measured it at 6.95 to 7.00 mm depending whereabouts on the tube I measured!

Thanks Brian! I'll call that 7mm and order in a couple of filters!

Good luck!

If the ones you buy fit, can you let me have a link please?

Do they both fit to a brass pipe, or is the reserve one inset? On searching I'm finding sets that have a smaller and larger diameter one, one to go on the main tube and one (larger) that fits inside a recess on the tap?

The reserve filter is inset and fractionally smaller so won't fit on the brass tube i.e. the filters are different

The filters I linked to above fit. The one on the brass tube slips on nice and snuggly, the one fitting inside the tap body needed a little encouragement with a file to put a small chamfer relief on the end to help it slip in, but otherwise fits well.
