Don't seem to remember the GoPro so much but did a few weeks ago for a ride in the North Fork John Day area. We caught the last day of dry weather and woke up to snow. 25 miles and 200 vertical feet each way (down to the river and back up to Ditch Creek Guard Station).
Below is a picture of the canyon (Potamus Canyon, Grant County, Oregon) a few summers ago, the road is in there somewhere.
