Ignition Coil Lead replacement possible?

Hello!

It seems that the coil lead on my ttr has some internal damage.Sometimes when unplugging and putting it back i get misfires.

I have cut a few mm of the end of the lead and screwed the plug cap back in and it cured the problem. But i already had to do it twice now.

Is it possible to remove the lead from the coil pack?

What type of lead wire is suitable?

What about the plug cap,is it only available through Yamaha?

Thanks!

Can't say for sure, but I think the lead screws into the coil the same way the cap screws into the lead.

Steve normally sells plug caps in the ttr shop, but has none at the moment.
NGK plug cap:

NGK XD05FP 120 degree BEND 10 & 12mm Plug size
For use with stud end plugs.
Plug Cap Type: 120 degree Elbow Std. Material: Phenolic Resin Resistance: 5k ohm Suitable ø Plug Thread: 10-12mm Suitable Terminal Type: Terminal Stud Special Feature: Special Waterproof Cover

As Sid says, normally the wire screws into the coil the same way as into the cap.
