I just purchased a 06 with under 6000ks on the clock, very stock & in very good condition 

 

watch this space for an adventure build from yz250f parts as the upgraded parts

That looks to be an excellent find, mate.

Will watch your Adventure Conversion with great interest.

I’ve done a bunch of Adventure Rides on my TTR and haven’t Retired yet but notice that 250cc bikes seem to be a popular choice these days. When you come across fellow Adventurers on big 1200cc bikes you wonder how they pick them up when they “topple over.” Some of these people are old’ish and short’ish.

My wife and I regularly watch Itchy Boots on Youtube (currently the Ultimate Adventure Rider) and she has moved to a 250 for the same reason as above.

Put pro tapers on & hand guard to fifth the oversized bars, I had a new set of clamps in a box I’d been carrying around for years

 

mirror off my old bike

mounTed a fender bag up front

giant loop luggage mounted & packed 

& gave the bike a good going over

Replaced the OEM front tyre & gave the fron end a full service & clean, installed the harness for the tank bag, & installed a small hard box on the bars that mount my inreach & uhf.

Wow - some clever luggage arrangements there!

You could do a RTW on it now wink  But I think you might struggle on a trials section confuse

The luggage has all the gear needed to moto camp

fender bag: tube, water filter, head lamp, few spared

tank bag: drone, 360 camera, other electrics

saddle bags: tent, mattres, sleeping bag, pillow, towel, toiletries, wet jacket, fly net, 

rear bag; tools  (Going to make fit on bash plate)

backpack not pictured: water, food, 2x change clothes, therma, cooking gear

 It was the usual pain to bleed, I like to reverse bleed brakes normally but couldn’t find my kit, so I attempted to just do it normally but was getting so annoyed I ended up taking the setup off the bike to do it. It’s is probably 100% better then stock, still feels a bit spongy but 1 finger for hard braking. I mite get a braded line & see if a 270mm disk can fit

 No ide, was listed new on eBa, I think they are just xr400 tanks with a different mounting kit, I still had to modify the mounting bracket to work

 The tower is from a company here in Australia, the screen ia a Knock off of a KTM rally screen

 

not really planning on filming much, I’d prefer to go out riding then spending the time filming, occasionally like this video I film a bit, but it actually takes ages to film anything work using for a few minutes of footage
