Higher seat forthe TTR250
Permalink

I've always wanted a higher seat on the TTR.  Although the original seat is lower and easier to put a foot down in technical situations, I feel a bit cramped and then tend to cramp in the legs during and after long rides on the TTR250.   This doesn't happen on modern bikes I also ride.

Anyway new seat is on about 30mm higher in the dip,a lot flatter.   Certainly feels a lot flatter and more "modern" to ride  roomier from foot pegs to the seat.  And much easier to move forward for turns.

PS I'm about 183cm - 6 foot, so I can still touch the ground easy with both feet.

Definitely more comfy than the moderns. My son used to think I was a good Dad because I'd offer to swap rides and let him ride the WRF back after a long ride. I recently confessed it was because I Needed to ride the comfy seat!!

I find the TTR seat much better than the WRR seat so I can understand the bike swap with your son, good thinking.

Your TTR looks different with the black rims & USD forks...looks mean

I see the Ballards decals are blistering up, mine did that & fell off, came out one day & one was laying on the ground & the other was hanging on just.

Cheers Terry

Terry, I put the Ballards decals on last summer onto an empty tank. They didn't stick that well bubbled up pretty quick. Interestingly when I added fuel the first time they stuck on better and lost most of the bubbles. Will run them till they peel off.
