Just a quick note to say hi.

Just bought a 94 Open Enduro from a nice chap in Leamington Spa, maybe some of you know him.

Have’nt had a bike for ten years, so super chuffed!

Previous was an XL600lmf, the TTR is about half the weight, with much quicker steering, which will lure me onto the green lanes soon...

Also like to thank the folks who post such useful information. It really helped me choose the bike.

All the Best

Mike

Welcome to the Forum Mike.

At least you got a bike that suits.

Thank you Cubber, nice to meet you.

Yep, I can even push it! Not that I’m planning on doing much of that.

The steering is scarily light so that’s going to take some getting used to... The other bikes I’ve had steered like buses in comparison!

Cheers

Mikee

Welcome Mike!
Some nice upgrades on your bike. If you're in Devon you're in green lane central, and TTR central too!
My brother had an XL600 - lovely comfy and quite grunty bike, but it got too hot during Austin Vince's Spanish mountain orienteering events (The VINCE) and dropped a valve seat 2 years running (should have learned and fitted an oil cooler after the first time, but hey ho) Now he (ab)uses my TTR350!
Ride safe,
Simon.

Hello Mossfroof,

Thank you.

Yep I have seen a few ‘dirty weekenders’ about.  Look forward to joiningTRF and getting muddy. Once I learn to ride again, been 12 years...

The bike has WZF front end, rebuilt to make it less enduro-ish. I’ll let you know if you’re interested as I go out for maiden flight tomorrow!

( Used to be a bike instructor in a former life, but feel like I’m at CBT level regarding the quick steering! Just need to Relax...)

Thanks for welcoming me. Maybe see you out ‘there’ sometime.

All the best

Mike
