Increased the power to weight on the TTR

As the title suggests I have increased the power to weight ratio on the TTR,  perhaps a bend of the truth a little.

I've been really busy putting our house on the market, moving stuff & cleaning, painting etc. Well the house sold in a week & for 50g above what we wanted with the bonus I dropped from 76/77kg to 73/74kg

Back when I bought the XR400 I was 82kgs, I dropped to 74kgs in a few months, after I broke my ankle I got up to 77kgs but my goal was to get back to 74kg, two days ago I was 73kgs, moving in two weeks to a lovely location with bikeways all the way to the city & beach.

Forgot about the excerise machine the Border collie pup, he gets walked every day from 3kms to 8kms

So sorry about the mistruth on the title but some guys spend heaps removing a kg or two off the bike when it costs nothing to remove it from your body & the other bonus is the power to weight on the Scrambler, Thruxton & WRR is all up as well  LOL

The $2000 walking machine

Well you might laugh, but taking weight off the old bod is an excellent, although unpopular, way of increasing performance - in all aspects motorcycling .....and life    if you know what I mean biggrin

IMG_1527.jpg

Similarly, the personal trainers are a under-utilised resource. The modern epidemics of obesity, depression and diabetes can all be effectively treat with an hours walk a day. Walking in the bush only increase the effectiveness. Personal trainers have also become popular coping mechanisms during the latest pandemic.

Congrats on your capital gains - always welcomed.

Although Jak is only a tiny Chihuahua, he does make sure that we get out at least once a day to walk him which is good. We both know that if we didn't have to take him out then we wouldn't be walking....

He is also a good excuse to go to some lovely places in Devon such as Exmouth beach and Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor for special walks. Castle Drogo gorge walk yesterday and Lydford Gorge Whitelady Waterfall walk tomorrow  biggrin

Having stepped up our exercise during lockdown, and also reduced the number of pasties eaten, I have (as of today) lost 2 stone since starting to weigh myself. Very pleased with that!  Another stone off and I will be very happywink

Yea walks with the dog, beach walk today, also less rides to bakeries not because of Covid but just busy & feel sorry for the dog being left alone. All adds up, good on ya loosing a few stone, so much better in so many ways.

On one of our trips to the UK we stayed at Seaton & spent a day at Beer.

Hi Brian,

Yes, very well done dropping 2 Stones and maybe more. You must be really svelte now 🥴

The Pastie Makers are probably worrying about where the demand has gone.

We also spent a few hours in Beer. Were attracted to the place for obvious reasons but it seems the name has nothing to do with the Amber Fluid. Did manage to have a few Beers in Beer. Nice little stoney beach.

Great photo of the Haytor Rocks and such nice weather. Hope the Summer produces plenty of that.

Congrats again

Jeff

Well been flat out moving, storing stuff, trying to find stuff, painting etc. the pup gets a hour walk every day & most of it off lead, he meets up with several other Border collies along the way & runs like there is no tomorrow. But this is why we moved here with the bonus I am now 72kgs so I dropped 5kgs in the last month or so.

Got a ride tomorrow with the lads & taking the TTR, have not been out for a while but I need a break & R&R

Couple of photos just to add interest

After a week lockdown for covid I took the TTR out, mainly dirt & gravel roads, it was mainly dry but cold. I did enjoy riding the TTR & put another 3 months rego on the bike & that means the WRR will have to wait a few months before it can be taken out again.

Cheers Terry
