Greetings, this is my first post since buying a 2005 TTR 250 just before New Year.

Spent a few weekends hard labor upgrading the bike to make it as reliable as possible for solo adventure riding-

New tyres (Kenda K270 back and Pirelli MT21 front),new front sprocket nut which was completely stripped and hanging on with 1 single thread,

new air filter element, sparkplug, oil change, carb clean, and lastly some new chain slider bits which took 4 weeks to arrive on back order from Yamaha.

She has just passed the roadworthy test so I can finally change ownership into my name.

I am now starting on an attempt at a Luggage rack which I plan to make from 3mm flat bar and 10mm Square bar. If it works out I will share pics

and dimensions for anyone interested.

Then its time to ride.....

Welcome to the forum, Paul.

That TTR looks sparkling enough now it's repaired and smart.

Your rack looks an interestin project. One to watch no doubt.

You have some marvelous countryside to explore when all is sorted.

Homemade rack fitted. Seems pretty strong, welding not that neat but it will do the job.

Just ordered some bits from TotallyTTR to hopefully sort my start issues out and Steve was very patient.....Great service.

Slowly, slowly.....

Goal is to ride up Sani Pass by end April, holding thumbs.
