I was looking at installing higher handlebars on my TTR and was comparing different bikes trying to find a suitable one. I can't find these parts new here and I can't get them delivered from outside, especially now that almost nobody is traveling to/from Europe, so this is the only alternative. I found a good one on an old Honda Transalp being broken for parts in a local motorcycle garage.

After some cleaning and painting I took some photos comparing the original (which was slightly bent I found) and the Transalp handlebars, just to give an idea of the difference. The original accelerator cables are now tight on full lock, but arranging the cables a bit around the steering head and under the tank gave me just enough slack to avoid pulling on the cables. I will be ordering longer cables though at some point. I already had the longer clutch cable, so I can't say how the original would have worked.

I realise that these handlebars are not as strong as some of the aftermarket ones, but I would expect them to be at least as strong as the original ones. In any case, I hope not to be testing their resistance to bending in an accident. disbelief
