right when it comes to riding clothing what would be best just  ordinary textile jacket and pants or  proper dedicated enduro riding gear, would the enduro stuff be more hard wearing for riding past bushes etc thankssmile

Over the years I've found the dedicated riding gear lasts well. You may also notice the pants are cut to suit a riding position. Odd fit when off the bike

Thats a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question. For riding trails I buy second hand good gear , fully expect to wreck it and not care. Army goretex is good and cheap from surplus stores for covering less waterproof gear. That said I have Klim gear amongst others for extreme conditions , marino wool, heated vests, armour etc . as I am a soft wimp . Good armour and two pairs of good gloves will see you right mainly.
