Hey guys,

Thought id share my little modification. I wanted a factory looking USB source. 

 

Heres what I come up with. 

 

1 x Aepro CB Guard Mount Aerial Bracket CBBU2

 

1 x EMGO USB CHARGER W/CLAMP

 

Drilled the top hole with a step drill bit to 28mm to fit the charger.

 

Then drilled the smaller hole with a 6mm drill to fit the factory bolt when mounting.

 

The extra hole can be used to mount a switch to cut power.

Where is the best place to connect a usb socket electrics to, and what size fuse would be needed.

Took mine straight of the battery and the kit came with the fuse

My direct power comes straight of the battery through a 5amp fuse and relay.

Positive trigger source is coming from my tail light. This will now turn on and off with the ignition.

why would you use a relay usb does not draw much power

Correct, but this usb has an illuminated light built it which will drain the battery.

So I had to add a relay in to solve this problem. Much cheaper then buying anther usb charger.
