Restoring an airbox intake boot to original shape

A mate gave me this tip and it seems to have worked!

My airbox intake boot is a tight fit and it is sometimes difficult to get it to sit fully on the carb.

One remedy might be (a) to find some pipe that is a tight fit in the mouth of the boot, (b) cramp it in tight. (c) pour really hot water over the boot, (d) pull hard on it to stretch it whilst the rubber is soft and then (e) pour cold water over it to set it in its new position.

Makes fitting the airbox a whole lot easier wink
