Always hard to tell by video and I can only give a bit of advice, but changing it sooner rather than later would be better.
The loud clunk is typical of the sprag clutch starting to go and if it starts doing it more than the light or no clunk then you will need to replace it, if it makes you wince on the loud clunk, get it changed asap, as it can cause a lot of damage.
I would also advise checking your idler gears and pay close attention to any wear on the boss the sprag runs on.

Understood, many thanks Steve. I'll have a dig around here and find out how to chek the idler gears. I've seen the post on changing the sprag clutch, looks daunting but I'm prepared to give it a go.

Ps you just bought that bike? from Bristol?
Yes I did! A lot of the consumables are recent and I'm pretty sure some came from you...
That was my mates Mark TTR, before the guy you bought it off, I remember the engine being super sweet Hopefully apart from the sprag it is still the same
Did you get a standard exhaust with it? the FMF is very loud for green lanning
That clunk didn't sound too bad from here, although as Steve says, it's hard to tell on a video. Most thumpers will clunk sometimes, depending on the position of the engine on shutdown (piston kicks back sometimes)
The "sprag-gone clunk" really does make you wince. Sounds like hitting the side cases with a light hammer!
Welcome to the forum btw,
Simon.

That's cool, it has a history I can at least partly trace. Glad to hear it might be a nice one - it's my first TTR and only my second thumper so nothing to compare it to really.
It did seem nice and willing on the ride home, although I had to adjust the clutch cable a huge amount - I wonder if the heat from the engine was causing it to expand? At one point (in heavy traffic, at junction of course) it was so bad I coudnt disengage the clutch and it stalled.
Yes that FMF does bark! It came with the original exhaust but it's a bit rough looking so I ordered a phoenix from you, just arrived today, thanks for that. I do come across horses and walkers and think it would be a bit much as it is, going to try and stick the phoenix on tomorrow and hopefully get out this weekend. Can't wait.

Thanks very much for the welcome Simon. It doesn't really sound that bad to me - err, not that I'd really know - so I'll ride it for a bit and keep an ear out for it getting worse I guess. And order a sprag clutch just in case when they come back in stock.
Thanks Steve. I took the TTR for a little pootle last night and I could actually hear the bike more without the FMF exhaust - I noticed a rattle at a particular rev range I hadn't heard before and will investigate. So there's that too, apart from it's horse-frightening and walker-annoying potential :D I can't imagine why anyone would want the noise either, but hopefully someone will!
Thanks too for the incredibly good customer service you do.
