New to TTRs!

Hi,

I'm Paul, I just got my first TTR250 last week, for greenlaning round Gloucestershire. It's a 2000 blue one with the plastic tank, although it has the purple wheels too. Not sure I believe the mileage (8k, they must have been very hard miles!) it's a bit tattier than I first thought so expecting to find a few things I'll need to fix, hopefully within my limited mechanical knowledge!

Nonetheless very happy to be joining the TTR fold. I'm only 5'6 so found it v tall at first but I think I'll leave the seat and suspension as it is and see how I get on with it. I love the lightness of it and the handling seems very responsive (other bike is a WK400, weighs 160kg)

It has an FMF powercore end can which I'm about to change for one of the Phoenix ones - the horses and walkers I see round here won't appreciate the noise of the FMF one I don't think

So happy to find this place and TotallyTTRs too!

I'm also a newby. Just pick up A TTR250 2011 with 700km on the clock.

I had a tt350 about 20 years ago.

It's good to get back into a bit of riding.

Looking forward to going bush around Tyringham near Dorrigo in a couple of weeks

Hi Elvis, nice to meet you.

Your TTR looks to be in really good nick! I'll try and get a photo of mine posted later today.

Welcome Elvis.

WOW!  Your TTR is in perfect condition.  I hope you will take good care of it.

You should be able to find anything you need to know about maintenance and repair right here.
