Seat rebuild after first owner cuts seats foam away
Permalink

I bought my son, a TTR-250 2001 model. He is 6'3 and the previous owner was 5' nothing.  He had cut most of the foam out of the seat and the vinyl seat cover had perished.

So I bought some foam and Vinyl from Clark Rubber in Sydney.  The foam was cheap because in was an off cut.  I had to glue two

pieces together to build up the seat.  I cut a pattern for the vinyl, and sewed it up.

Then it was just a matter of stapling onto the seat.

Only regret is I should have bought blue vinyl also and made it dual colours .
