Carb Leaking
Permalink

Hi Team,

My Carb has been leaking fuel and just got worse. Droplets of fuel trickle from below, even when the bike is not in motion. Now I am forced to close the tap everytime I stop

to minimize the leakage.

I have tried to clean and remove any kind of blockage but it still leaks.Help

Kind Regards

Vincent

Hi Vincent

The most likely causes of carb leaks are:

a) Diaphragm and/or small O rings perished/worn/damaged

b) Float bowl gasket perished/worn/damaged

c) Incorrect float height

Unfortunately the carb will have to come off for any replacements or adjustments.

All those issues are addressed here

Brian

Hi Brain,

Thanks so much for your assistance. Gone through the link...I will plan to compare and check what is worn out and replace.

Kind Regards

Normally the diaphragm is the culprit if coming from the bottom of the carb
