Well I tried Adventure tyres on the TTR, was great on the blacktop, pretty good on hardpack dirt & gravel roads but scary on gravel roads with loose stuff, was very nervous & twitchy. I thought about it & to be honest I might be pushing it a bit too hard, talked to my mate I ride with who also has a TTR & WRR about if I was pushing it a bit & the reply was YES. I guess riders don't push the Adventure bikes as hard.
So I used D603, D605's, D606's & even tried MT21's that came off the WRR, was wondering what to put on, I ran the TTR for a few years with D606's & never had a flat where as on the WRR using MT21's I've had 5 flats.
Bit the bullet & ordered 90/90 x 21 D606 & 120/90 x 18 D606 from the MX Store, they rocked up yesterday at my front door.
Fitted the D606's today, changed the gearing to suit & will give it a run this week, fingers crossed but I was happy with this setup before.
