Just bought this beast been sat in a guys shed for a few years and got a bit tatty but I’m hoping to bring it back to life for some fun enduro rides don’t know much about it’s past looks like the tank has been changed for a bigger one though
Welcome to the forum Rob. Desireable bike with the 22 litre tank and combined kick/electric start. You might find the tank a bit big when riding enduro (even without much fuel in it's quite bulky). There is a standard tank in the for sale section at the moment. Quite rare to see so if you feel you might need it, it's worth snapping it up.
First thing - give the carb a damn good clean out - they are quite susceptible to jet blockage from old fuel.
Ride safe,
Simon.
Yeah I can definitely notice the weight and size of the tank I will probably hunt down an OE one when I can afford it lol spend what I had on the bike on the plus side the bike came with a new carb in the box so will be fitting it later on today the bike needed a right good scrub up I think I’ve been removing mud from 2015 😂 don’t know why you wouldn’t just clean it after the last ride but oh well love getting stuck in on these older bikes just recently restored a 1984 KE 125 so it’s now onto the next project
Thanks for the heads up mossproof I’m currently trying to get more information on the bike not exactly sure what year it as as I have no logbook or vrm number to go by I have looked at the information on the FAQ page but my chassis number doesn’t seem to mean anything it shows a 0 as the tenth digit
