New Tank 2001 ttr250
Permalink

Hello, I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction.  The tank on my 2001 Ttr250 was cracked pretty bad and I tried to repair it but in the end I wasn’t successful.  It has spiderwebbed cracks all over and when it has gas it expands and they explode.  Do any of you know another tank that will fit it. I don’t want the big oversized tank.  I’m looking for something close to stock.  Any help would be awesome.

See here - if you scroll down through there are some pics of a DR650 and a TTR600 tank fitted to a TTR.

There was a thread showing another "standard" size tank fitted but I can't find it - sorry! disbelief

Honda XR250/200 tanks 96 on can be made to fit and look ok and are more common too. Also seen TT350 and Dr tanks fitted, I think they will all need some type of adapting brackets.

Just seen some photos of XR250 tanks fitted - see below.

Would need some front support brackets making. Fits well to seat apparently. Only issue mentioned is that the XR fuel tap may hit the throttle on the carb.
